Family Learning Program

Looking for parents who want to:

• build a stronger family

• help your child improve in school

• earn your GED

• learn job skills

The Learning Center’s family literacy program – called CUBS – offers parents with children between birth and 10 a chance to gain reading and writing skills while sharing fun related activities together with their child or children.

CUBS family programs include:

• Family Focus classes on topics like talking with your child’s teacher, nutrition, healthy discipline and relationships

• GED classes

• computer classes

• Mother Goose programs in which parents learn how to use quality children’s books and simple scientific activities to teach their children at home

• library storytimes, cards and craft programs

• one on one tutoring for the parents who need it with a concerned caring tutor

• adventures! Family field trips, fun nights and special programs with music, magic and movies
